Press Space on a Markdown file in Finder and see it rendered. Double-click it and a tiny native reader is on screen at once.

Leaflet is a Quick Look extension and a fast native reader for Markdown, made for notes that live outside any one app. It renders GitHub-flavoured Markdown safely: raw HTML is shown escaped, images are never fetched, and the app has no network access.

What’s inside

  • Quick Look preview

GitHub-flavoured Markdown rendered right in Finder.

  • Properties block

Frontmatter shown as a tidy properties table.

  • Obsidian-friendly

    Styled [[wiki-links]] and callouts.

  • Light and dark

A real dark palette, not an inverted one.

  • Private by design

Sandboxed, no network entitlement, strict content policy.

  • Reader and editor

A resident native reader with a styled-source editor is next.

What’s new

  • Oct 2026Quick Look extension working on the Mac. Reader app next.
  • Oct 2026Started as a personal tool, named Leaflet.
